The goal of this project was to explore inclusive/ genderless design and branding and learn how easy is it to create packaging that does not alienate anyone.
Like all projects, my process began with some sketches of what the final product could look like as well as potential logos. At this point, no creative decisions are set in stone as I was very much still in the brain storming stage.
Neue Haas Grostesk is used throughout the packing as well as in the logo. I decided to call the company All of us, as a way emphasizes inclusivity.
Each design consists of a main box that features all the important content as well as a coloured sleeve with the same content. When the products are first purchased, the coloured sleeves will be wrapped around the main box. This way the boxes are easily identifiable and users can still access the content without having to tear the sleeve. In addition to this, the interior of the boxes will match the colour of their assigned sleeve and will feature an eye-catching pattern on the underside of the lid. These patterns will match with the colour palette of the box.
