The purpose of this assignment was to design a more environmentally friendly packaging for a pre-existing product. The end product was to be simple, modern and match the existing branding of Blue Buffalo.
Three concepts were created for this assignment. We decided to move forward with concept 1 or 2 as they would likely be more reliable than concept 3. Research was done into biodegradable plastics to ensure the environmental goal was still met.
Once we narrowed it down to a bag made of biodegradable plastics, I made this sketch of what the bag could look like.
After the design was approved, the next step was to make it in illustrator. The hardest part of this step was figuring out how to reformat all the information that was on the original packaging, but in the end we met our goal in style!
